Wigs in Another Light

For skeptics who are not sure just how natural wigs can look, I wish that you could have come with me to the two photo shoots I recently had the privilege of being a part of.

On the first photo shoot for our continental hair website, I watched your normal everyday women with alopecia transform into models. However all of the models photographed are our actual clients. That’s really a major factor to why I think that our website is so unique.

I love that women are able to watch our videos with no professionally paid actresses, and see that they are not alone in the world of hair loss. It was truly beautiful to see our client models be so comfortable with themselves in public, with what many women have not yet been able to embrace.

On the other side of things, I got to watch and be a part of an ELLE Canada Magazine photo shoot. I watched a professional model transform into different people as she wore the wigs. All completely different high fashion looks; but all looked like her own.

At the end of it all, wigs have changed. They are more fashionable then you may know them to be. You may or may not know who is wearing one. But who cares, as long as it looks and makes you feel good. Hopefully in the near future, wigs will be more openly accepted for all women who want or need to wear one.
