The problem: Thinning hair
The solution: Custom and ready-made hairpieces
When women experience hair loss, it often appears as thinning at the crown of the head. In those situations, an integrated hairpiece is an option. “An integration system gives a woman more hair that is blended with hers,” says Michael Suba, president of Toronto’s Continental Hair, who explains, “it’s a grid of hair that we can pull her own hair through,” resulting in a look that is natural and not overpowering. With an integrated hairpiece “you don’t see your scalp, and it’s lightweight and comfortable,” says Suba, whose pieces can detach with clips or can be beaded in for three to four weeks at a time. (Custom pieces range from $2,500 to $3,500.)
